Background

Introduction to Cross-Country Skiing:

When Jesse was 14 years old, he had a physiotherapist appointment with Bruce Craven in Saskatoon.  During the appointment he was talking to Bruce about activities that he would like to participate in.  Jesse has always enjoyed shooting with his Uncle Barry at his farm.  Bruce asked Jesse if I might be interested in biathlon. A definite yes, Bruce contacted Jeff Whiting, Para Cross Country Ski Coach in Saskatoon and he started training with Jeff shortly thereafter. Jesse immediately enjoyed the sport. When he was given the opportunity to move to Canmore, he jumped on it with the goal of pursuing a career in biathlon and cross-country skiing.

Personal:

Outside of training and competing, Jesse enjoys shooting, snowmobiling, fishing, being in the outdoors, and playing the drums. Jesse recently completed his first year of computer science at the University of Saskatchewan. He is hoping to continue schooling in future and persue a career in computer programming.
