To compete in certain races, skiers need race licenses. Race licenses allow skiers to be seeded in races and included in ranking lists.

Starting July 1, 2020 and new for the 2020-21 Season: FIS license applications are integrated with the Nordiq Canada race license and ONLY available when purchasing a Nordiq Canada race license. FIS licenses take up to 72 hours to process.

[/et_pb_text][et_pb_text _builder_version=”4.9.4″]

To compete in nationally sanctioned races, you need a Nordiq Canada Race License (or a Supporting Member Day License). Depending on the athlete’s age and nationality, costs range from $25 to $65. Race licenses are valid July 1st to June 30th of each year.

[/et_pb_text][et_pb_button button_url=”https://nordiqcanada.ca/races/racing-license/nordiq-canada-race-license/” button_text=”Race License Application” button_alignment=”center” _builder_version=”4.4.8″ custom_button=”on” button_text_color=”#ffffff” button_bg_color=”#df2427″ button_border_width=”0px” button_font=”|600||on|||||” button_use_icon=”off” background_layout=”dark” custom_margin=”2em||2em||true|false”][/et_pb_button][et_pb_text _builder_version=”4.9.7″ hover_enabled=”0″ sticky_enabled=”0″]Year of birth and race distances define race categories. Race categories are based on the Competition Model, available in the Document Centre.

Athletes born between 2001 and 2005 are eligible for the World Junior Championships; athletes born between 1998 and 2000 are eligible for the World Under 23 Championships.

Visually impaired athletes with a Nordiq Canada Race Licence must also purchase a guide license. The guide license is transferable between the athlete’s guides; to be valid, each guide must sign a waiver at his or her first race of the season. If the regular and only guide of the athlete has a Nordiq Canada Race License, the athlete does not need to purchase the guide license.

To receive FIS points, athletes need a Nordiq Canada Race License and a FIS license. FIS race licenses can only be purchased in conjunction with the Nordiq Canada race license and take up to 72 hours to process. You can verify that your FIS license has been activated on the athlete section of the FIS website.

To be eligible for FIS points, athletes must include their Nordiq Canada Race License and their FIS license numbers when registering for events. If you forget to include your license numbers when you register for a race, you will need to pay an administration fee to have your results adjusted.

To compete in IPCNS races, para-nordic athletes and guides need a Nordiq Canada Race License and an IPCNS license.

If you have been IPCNS licensed before, simply contact us and we can apply for you in the IPCNS online licensing system. If you have not been IPCNS licensed before, you must complete the IPC Athlete Eligibility Agreement (version two), available in the Document Centre, and then contact us to complete the process.

– U14 and under: A Nordiq Development Canada Licence

– U14 and under: A Nordiq Canada Development Licence

– No NQ licence AND/OR not a Nordiq Canada Club member – SDML Licence

*SDML – Supporting day member licence[/et_pb_text][/et_pb_column_inner][/et_pb_row_inner][/et_pb_column][/et_pb_section][et_pb_section fb_built=”1″ fullwidth=”on” admin_label=”Full Footer” _builder_version=”4.9.7″ _module_preset=”default” global_module=”13146″ locked=”on”][et_pb_fullwidth_code _builder_version=”4.9.7″ _module_preset=”default” locked=”on”][et_pb_section global_module="13083"][/et_pb_section][et_pb_section global_module="13086"][/et_pb_section][et_pb_section global_module="13088"][/et_pb_section][et_pb_section global_module="13089"][/et_pb_section][/et_pb_fullwidth_code][/et_pb_section]

[et_pb_section fb_built=”1″ admin_label=”Top of page banner” _builder_version=”3.26.5″ custom_margin=”0px||0px||false|false” custom_padding=”0px||0px||false|false”][et_pb_row _builder_version=”3.26.3″ width=”100%” max_width=”100%” custom_margin=”0px||0px||false|false” custom_padding=”0px||0px||false|false”][et_pb_column type=”4_4″ _builder_version=”3.26.3″][et_pb_image src=”https://nordiqcanada.ca/wp-content/uploads/Racing-License-Banner.jpg” force_fullwidth=”on” _builder_version=”3.27.3″] [/et_pb_image][/et_pb_column][/et_pb_row][/et_pb_section][et_pb_section fb_built=”1″ specialty=”on” _builder_version=”3.26.6″][et_pb_column type=”1_4″ _builder_version=”3.25″ custom_padding=”|||” custom_padding__hover=”|||”][et_pb_text _builder_version=”3.29.3″] [/et_pb_text][/et_pb_column][et_pb_column type=”3_4″ specialty_columns=”3″ _builder_version=”3.25″ custom_padding=”|||” custom_padding__hover=”|||”][et_pb_row_inner module_id=”races-anchor” _builder_version=”3.26.6″ custom_margin=”0px||||false|false” custom_padding=”0px||||false|false” global_module=”2507″ saved_tabs=”all”][et_pb_column_inner _builder_version=”3.26.6″][et_pb_text admin_label=”Text” module_class=”introtext” _builder_version=”4.4.8″ z_index_tablet=”500″] Race license requirements To compete in certain races, skiers need […]

["post-1406","page","type-page","status-publish","hentry

Nordiq Canada Race License
