Background

National Ski Team Background:

Olivier is competing in his second season on the Olympic Senior Team after a standout career as a junior. Olivier was part of a historic silver-medal relay team along with Xavier McKeever, Tom Stephen and Remi Drolet, who rocked a 4×5 kilometre relay at the 2020 Junior World Championships. It was the first time in the history of the sport that a Canadian team won a relay medal at a World Championship event.

Olivier fed off this breakthrough performance in his return trip to the Word Juniors in 2021 when he became the third Canadian ever to win an individual medal at the Nordic Wold Junior Ski Championships. At just 19 years old, Olivier skied into the history books with some prestigious names including Alex Harvey and Marie Josee-Pepin.

Olivier ejoyed a standout rookie season on the World Cup as a 20 year old that included a top-10 finish on the World Cup in addition to achieving his Olympic dream with two, top-30 finishes, He is now focused on building on this experience on the trails to 2026.

 

Personal:

Olivier grew up in Estrie, Quebec where he has always been passionate about outdoor sports and competition. Olivier competed at the provincial and national levels in mountain biking until he was 17 years old when he decided to devote all of his energy into developing iinto an elite cross-country ski athlete. When not training, Olivier loves being outdoors fishing, canoeing or hiking in the forest. He is studying Natural Sciences in Cegep.
