Background

National Ski Team Background:
Pierre Grall-Johnson is competing in his first year in Canada’s Senior Development program following a strong 2020 season where he earned the opportunity to represent Canada on the World Cup Team, which was significant experience in his continued development into an elite skier.

Introduction to Cross-Country Skiing:
Pierre was introduced to cross-country skiing through his parents after they decided to join Nakkertok Nordic when he was three years old. Pierre and his sister quickly worked their way up the development pathway of the Learn to Ski and Racing programs at their Club, while also enjoying weekend ski outings with their parents. It was through these special weekends that he developed his passion for the sport.

Pierre is now focused on his continued development, and posting good results on the world stage.

Personal:
Cross-country skiing runs through the Grall-Johnson family, but when not skiing Pierre really enjoys spending time with friends and meeting new people. He understands growing up in a bilingual family is a special privilege. His family is quite active and their summer vacations always revolved around hiking trips. Pierre loves sciences. He is currently studying engineering at Lakehead University, but would love to eventually follow a path towards studying Astrophysics.
