2022-2023 World Cup Period 1 Competition Team

Selection Rationale

 

Congratulations to the following athletes who have been selected to the World Cup Period 1 Team from November 15 to December 19, 2022, with races in Ruka, Lillehammer, Beitostolen and Davos. Athlete selections were based on the 2022-23 Nordiq Canada Competition Trip Criteria and summarized in the Athlete Nomination Synopsis and Rationale.

 

SUMMARY OF NOMINATIONS 

Antoine Cyr – COC Leader 

Olivier Léveillé – Top-20 at 2021-22 WC or OWG individual final race result

Katherine Stewart-Jones – COC leader

Dahria Beatty – Top-20 at 2021-22 WC or OWG individual final race result

Olivia Bouffard-Nesbitt – Top-8 AND top half of 2021-22 WC or OWG team event

Graham Ritchie – Top-20 at 2021-22 WC or OWG individual final race result

 

Athlete nominations were made by the High Performance Committee (HPC) based on the 2022-23 Nordiq Canada Competition Trip Criteria. The HPC oversaw the selection process as per the Nordiq Canada Selection, Nominations and Announcement policy. Members of this committee are:
