Anchorage SuperTour and Nordiq Cup Accommodations & Support Expression of Interest
Nordiq Canada is offering race support services for Canadian athletes attending the SuperTour and Nordiq Cup in Anchorage AK, Dec 12-17, 2023.
Interested athletes must register an Expression of Interest by September 18, 2023. Registered athletes will receive a follow-up email with further information.

Background
Nordiq Canada is committed to providing opportunities for elite international competition for Canadian athletes. The December domestic calendar is a tremendous opportunity for athletes to test themselves against the best skiers in North America. For this reason, Nordiq Canada chose to include the Super Tour races in Alaska to be part of the Nordiq Cup (COC) series for the 2023-24 season.
To help support Canadian athletes at this event, Nordiq Canada is partnering with the three National Development Centres (NDCs) to provide race support. NextGen coach, Eric de Nys, will provide on-site leadership. The Pierre Harvey Training Centre, NTDC-Thunder Bay, and the Alpine Insurance Alberta World Cup Academy will contribute staff support. Based on the level of interest from athletes who are not members of a NDC, additional staff could be required to ensure an adequate staff-to-athlete ratio (e.g., 1 staff for 6 athletes).
There will be two options for support only:
1. Full support: Includes athlete accommodation, ground transportation, share of support costs (coach and tech expenses), race wax.
2. Half support: Includes share of support costs (coach and tech expenses) and race wax. Athletes will be responsible for their own accommodation and ground transportation.
Important to note:
- Athletes will be responsible for booking their own flights and providing their own food, and travel insurance. Details for when to book arrival and departure flights will be communicated in the follow up email.
- Estimated trip fees for NDC athlete’s will be the following:
- Full support: $110-$200 / day (Full support is only available to athlete’s that will attend the entire duration of event.)
- Half Support: $25 – $45 / day
- Athletes who are not affiliated with a National Development Centre may be subject to an additional fee.
