Katherine Stewart-Jones Skis to 25th at Nordic World Championships
PLANICA, Slo.—Katherine Stewart-Jones skied to 25th place in the women’s skiathlon on Saturday at the Nordic World Ski Championships in Planica, Slovenia.
The 27-year-old Stewart-Jones completed 7.5-kilometres of classic-skiing followed by an additional 7.5 kilometres of skate-skiing in a time of 41:38.3 to finish as the top Canuck.
Sweden’s Ebba Andersson was first across the finish line in a time of 38:11.8. Frida Karlsson, also of Sweden, claimed third place at 38:33.8. Norway’s Astrid Slind skied to the bronze medal at 38:59.8.
