Nordiq Canada Coaching Placement Opportunity Canada Cup/US SuperTour Lake Placid Supertour (Lake Placid NY) – January 29, 2022 – January 30, 2022 The Henchey Cup Supertour (Craftsbury VT) – February 4, 2022 – February 6, 2022

Nordiq Canada is seeking coaches to accompany 16 athletes (8 women + 8 men U20/U18) selected from the Canada Cup series for the two US SuperTour races during the last weekend of January and the first weekend of February 2022.The anticipated duration is two weeks (January 24 to February 6), however, there is the possibility of accompanying both or either one of the events. Coaches should indicate their interests and availability when applying.Nordiq Canada will cover all travel and accommodations for selected coaches.Trip placements are offered as development opportunities for coaches. As such applications will be assessed on the coach’s personal pathway and commitment to their ongoing advancement. Selected coaches are expected to have a threshold level of competency (as described below) and be open to being mentored by the Nordiq Canada Development Coach and Lead Technician who will be leading the trip.Coaching tasks• Competition/race support• Assistance applying wax and cleaning skis• Testing kick and glide• Assisting athletes in selecting skis• On course splitsPrior to departure, Coaches will be required to• Meet with Nordiq Canada Development Coach for elaboration of tasks and expectations•Provide a personal learning plan detailing development objectives• Maintain a coaching log during trip• Meet for a post-event debriefPrioritization for selection• Minimum of L2C trained status• Experience pertaining to the coaching tasks listed above• Alignment with a four-year personal development plan Please send a one-page application letter indicatingyour interest (please include NCCP#) to Julie Beaulieu – Nordiq Canada Sport Development Director jbeaulieu@nordiqcanada.ca by January 10, 2022.
