Nordiq Canada Welcomes Katherine Stewart-Jones to 2020-21 National Ski Team

Nordiq Canada would like to officially welcome Katherine Stewart-Jones to the National Ski Team following an appeal process around the selection of the 2020-21 NST.

Katherine was selected to the National Ski Team based on a top-12 World Cup individual race finish. Katherine posted the ninth-fastest time of the day en route to finishing 32nd in a World Cup pursuit race in Oestersund, Sweden in February.

In its original interpretation of the published 2020-21 NST criteria, the selection committee had not considered a best time of the day pursuit result as meeting the NST criteria.

Nordiq Canada respects the outcome of the appeal process and recognizes the significance of Katherine’s performances this past year. We look forward to having her join one of the largest National Ski Teams Nordiq Canada has ever assembled, which consists of 16 athletes in the Olympic program.
