NCDF Matching Campaign – Goal hit!

In celebration of a historic World Juniors a generous donor offered to match up to $13,000 in donations made to the Nordiq Canada Development Fund (NCDF).  With help from donors across Canada we hit our goal and these combined donations have contributed $26,000 to the NCDF.

This past season the NCDF was able to help fund a high-performance training camp in BC, roller ski treadmill projects in Ontario and Alberta and a roller ski race series in Quebec.  Because of our donor’s generosity we can look forward to supporting more projects this coming season!

Building Confidence Through Competence

The Nordiq Canada Women’s Committee is very excited to present a High Performance Coaching Seminar for Female Coaches. Featuring seminars on ski fleets, physiology, tactical development, leadership along with panel discussions and networking opportunities.

Presenters include:
*Cari Din – Faculty of Kinesiology, University of Calgary
*Jodi Hawley – Pathway Advisor & Physiologist, Own The Podium
*Alasadair Tutt – USSSA Development Coach of the Year 2019, MSc Mid Sweden University
*Judy Buchanan-Mappin and Mike Mappin – Professional ski testers and technicians
and many more!

The Seminar will take place via Zoom over Thursday May 20th and Friday 21st and it’s free!

The Seminar is for coaches at the Train to Train (In-Training and Certified status) and above with presentations focused on those coaching Junior (U18) athletes and above. While other coaches may request to participate, coaches need to have a good understanding of physiology, training prescription and ski selection to get the most out of the seminar. This will be a great opportunity to improve your competence and gain confidence and earn some PD points while meeting coaches from across the country.

To register for the seminar complete the form via this link.
