Canada’s Youth Olympic Team Finish 6th in the Mixed Team Relay!

Leanne Gartner was the first on course, sticking with the lead pack to the three-kilometre mark. She tagged off to Eamon Wilson in ninth place, 30 seconds back from the leaders. Wilson put his head down, bringing the team back into the chase group to tag off in eighth place to Aramintha Bradford. Bradford along with athletes from USA, and Finland would form the chase group tagging off to Cedric Martel in sixth place. With five kilometres to go, Martel would do his best to hang with Team USA, while Finland, Italy and Estonia began to bring back time. Martel would hang on finishing just 1.18 back from the winners, giving Team Canada their best Cross Country Skiing Relay finish at the Youth Olympic Games!
