Nordic Sports Coaches Conference
Four days packed with learning, teamwork, and forging new connections have concluded after a hugely successful Nordic Sports Coaches in Canmore AB. Over 100 coaches from Canada’s Cross Country and Biathlon communities united to enhance their skills to continue to inspire athletes. From insightful sessions with leading minds in sports to hands-on application on the field, every moment was about growth and excellence. Thank you to all the coaches who participated and to @kvplus_ca@zizuoptics@concept2inc@nordarun@trailsportscanmore, and @auclairsports for their fantastic support and prizes!

Diversity on the Trails, How Nordiq Canada’s Instructor Stream Program is Transforming Cross Country Skiing for All
Nordiq Canada’s Instructor Stream is part of a $322,000 funded program through Sport Canada’s Community Sport for All Initiative – designed to train instructors of all experience levels to better service new skiers in their charge. The program provides teaching materials, helps them develop teaching skills, introduces them to Para nordic skiing, and emphasizes making the programs welcoming to all.

Nordiq Canada hosted six courses across the nation. In addition to that, 12 grants were awarded to clubs to offer lessons to all Canadians, and especially those from under-served communities like Black, Indigenous, and 2SLGBTQIA+.
