Lunch and Learn Sessions for Nordic Coaches  
June 4th, 2024, 12:00 – 12:50 MT / 2:00 – 2:50 PM EST 

Nordiq Canada and Biathlon Canada are excited to announce the first Lunch and Learn session of the season.  The ’virtual lunch’ and learn series will be a continuation of the Nordic Sports Coaches Conference in building Communities of Practice and better coaching practices.

Coaches who didn’t attend the Nordic Sports Coaches Conference are welcome to attend the session. The session will be hosted Wade Gilbert.

2024-25 National High Performance Program Prospects
Congratulations to the following athletes who will be invited to a 2024-2025 Prospects camp based on the criteria outlined in the Nordiq Canada National High Performance Program Selection Criteria 2024-25.

 

PROSPECTS CAMP – EAST: July 11 – 15th Ottawa/Gatineau Region

PROSPECTS CAMP – WEST: July 18 – 22nd TBC

 

  • The Prospects program is an east and west based camp program designed for U18 and U16 athletes.
  • The goal of the Prospects program is to provide meaningful Athlete Performance Pathway based training opportunities from multiple divisions.
  • Aggregate Rank In Region placing is from the ranking list of eligible athletes from that region. Example, an athlete might be ranked 3rd overall on the aggregate list but be ranked first in their region.

Congratulations to the new Level 3 National Officials! 
After 8 months of hard work and a final 4-day workshop at the Nordiq Canada Ski Nationals, these individuals have completed their level 3 course. Level 3 Officials can perform of all aspects of officiating at the division level for division cups and popular cross-country ski (loppet) competition or engage in event organizing at the division through to the national level.

Thank you to lead Course Conductor Mike Norton and to guest lecturers Dan Brisbin, Olivia Bouffard-Nesbitt, Matt DeCarufel, and Dirk Van Wijk for their support. Congratulations graduates, we look forward to seeing all you do.
