Event Cancellation: Western FIS Cup, Canmore AB

It has been decided after consultation between the Local Organizing Committee, Nordiq Alberta and Nordiq Canada that the Canmore competitions from December 11-13, 2020 will no longer be a FIS sanctioned event. The Local Organizing Committee will communicate shortly whether the event will proceed as an Alberta Cup, a local event, or be cancelled altogether.

Canada’s Top Cross-Country Ski Athletes To Stay on Track at Home Until New Year

After weighing the risks associated with international travel as numbers of COVID-19 continue to increase globally, Nordiq Canada has decided not to send a team of cross-country ski athletes to the season-opening World Cup races prior to the holiday break.
