Malcolm Hunter Award
Presented annually to the Senior Aggregate winners at the Cross Country Ski Championships. The award was established in 1999 in recognition of the contribution made to the sport by Malcolm Hunter, 1970 Olympian and past CCC Treasurer, Coach and Executive Director.    More info – Malcolm Hunter skied for Canada at the 1972 Olympics at the age of 21, placing 43rd and 45th.  He won the 1969 Junior Championships by over a minute and a half and also won the Canadian Senior Championships that year.  He was a long time Executive Director and volunteer with Cross Country Canada, author of a book on the history of skiing in the Gatineau and this trophy in his name honours the senior aggregate champions of the Ski Championships.  The sculpture was created by Angus Cockney.  The polar bear represents strength needed to be a Champion with an image of a female face with braid to ensure it includes male and female champions. The bear is somewhat unfinished as a symbol that Nordiq Canada will always be challenged in improving and refining programs to develop Champions so the work will always be on-going.
Canada Cup
Annually recognizes the top skiers, male and female on the domestic race circuit.
AltaGas Club Aggregate Trophy
Presented Annually to the club accumulating the most points during the Canadian Championships, the AltaGas Club Aggregate trophy was made in celebration of 10 years of AltaGas partnering with Nordiq Canada.  Inuit sculptor and multimedia artist, Angus Cockney created the award. A former national team skier and national champion, Angus is also the father to NST alumni Jesse Cockney.  The Award represents AltaGas’s flame.  A second interpretation is the image of an iceberg. Given the purpose of the trophy as it is presented to a national champion…champions come-and-go with time. Just like an iceberg seems strong and solid, it too eventually disappears. But there will always be an iceberg to be seen…as a national champion is crowned every year.  The trophy is made from a very hard stone called “dolomite”, and it is found in the town Rock Creek in southern BC.
Buff/Teck Sprint Trophy
Presented annually to the overall sprint champions, male and female, competing in the Canadian FIS Regional Series.  The concept was originally introduced by Madshus in 2004 and sponsored by Teck Resources in 2007.  The Series is currently supported by BUFF Canada Ltd.
Devlin Cup
Originally donated by W.C. Devlin, VP of the Canadian Ski Association in 1931, the Cup is awarded annually to the winner of the 15 km men’s race at the Canadian Ski Championships. The original Cup, as pictured here, was constructed of solid silver and stood 15 inches high. The current version resides at the Bill Warren Training Centre and now stands almost 3 feet high and contains the names of skiers dating back to the first Canadian Championships in 1921.
Sofie Manarin Award
The Sofie Manarin Award was established in 2004 in memory of Sofie Manarin, a member of the 2001 Junior NST who passed away while training as a result of a traffic accident in Sudbury. At the age of 16, Sofie has already won 13 Junior Championship medals in her short career and was the top North American women at the 2001 World Junior Championships. The Sofie Manarin Award is awarded annually to the Juvenile Aggregate Champions at the Ski Nationals.
Hickory Wing Trophy
The Hickory Wing Trophy was donated by the founding members of the Hickory Wing Ski Club of Prince George, BC. It is annually awarded to the winner of the Ladies 5 km event at the Canadian Cross-Country Ski Championships.
Mary Anderson Award
As a resident of the northern BC community of Burns Lake, Mary Anderson was a pioneer coach and cross-country ski promoter. She was a tireless and unselfish worker, often soliciting ski equipment for her young skiers from as far away as Europe. The Mary Anderson plaque is presented to the Women’s distance winner at the Canadian Cross-Country Ski Championships.
Rolf Petterson Trophy
This trophy was initially donated by the Viking Construction Ltd. from Prince George, BC. in honour of Rolf Petterson a former National Ski Team and Olympian for Canada. The Petterson Trophy is awarded annually to the winner of the 50 kilometer event at the Canadian Championships.
Pepsi Cola Trophy
Pepsi Cola trophy was introduced in 1956 at the first Canadian Junior Cross Country Ski Championships. At that time the trophy was presented to the top Junior aggregate team by the Pepsi Cola Company. In recent years the plaque has been presented to the top Junior Men’s Relay team at the National Championships. In 2007 the award was presented to the Team Sprint winners.
