Programs for post-secondary students
Canadian cross-country skiers are known for their skill on the snow and in the classroom. Did you know that World Champion Alex Harvery completed most of his law degree while competing on the world stage? One of the single greatest risks for the success of Nordiq Canada over the long-term is the retention of athletes through the development pathway, especially between the ages of 16 to 23. Combining school and skiing is important for you and for Nordiq Canada.
Cross-country skiers have access to a variety of programs, scholarships and other supports to help you compete while pursuing higher education. In the Document Centre you’ll find resources to help you succeed as a student-athlete. You’ll also find a list of Canadian universities, clubs and National Development Centres that combine education and skiing. As a student-athlete, you also have access to a number of scholarships.
