Nordiq Canada Coaching License Registration Open
The 2023-2024 Race License Registration is now open.
You need a coaching license if you perform typical coaching tasks with a Nordiq Canada club, including delivering or helping to deliver practices with any age group for at least seven hours per year. Only coaches who meet the Minimum Mandatory Coaching Qualifications (see the Document Centre) and have a valid Coaching License will benefit from Nordiq Canada’s liability insurance while coaching with a Nordiq Canada ski club.
Nordiq Canada Officials Level 3 Certification Course Winter 2023-2024
This facilitated course will combine:
1. A series of expert-led zoom sessions and participant presentations, throughout the winter, beginning in November.
2. On-site FIS event observation assignments (location TBD– Either, Western Canadian Championships, Canmore, or Canadian Ski Nationals, Nakkertok).
3. Pre and post course assignments complete the evaluation components of this course.
Confirmation of candidates and provisional agenda will occur beginning of September, with Candidates to confirm their spots and submit payment by September 30th.
The completion of the course enables participants to embark in two streams: Event Organizer or Nordiq Canada Divisional TD
Learn to Compete – On Snow Workshop
November 23-26 2023 from 8:30-17:00 each day Pacific time zone.
Cost 450$
This on-snow workshop is the second sport-specific workshop in the Learn to Compete (Competition Development) context.
The workshop will take place in Vernon, BC at Silverstar, where we are guaranteed early-season snow.
Please book your travel to be present for the entire workshop (finishing time 16:00 on Sunday the 26th).
Included in the workshop: All instruction/facilitation, access to the site, workshop materials, and shared supper on Friday the 24th.
Workshop materials and preparation work will be forwarded to registrants one month prior to the beginning of the workshop.
