Annual Club Fundraiser
Know a club that could use more money? The Annual Club Fundraiser is on!
How does it work? Clubs choose a specific project to fundraise for. Whether that’s new skis for your SDP or upgrading your groomer, if it helps get more Canadians on skis or more athletes on podiums it is the right project. Clubs can set up their fundraising page in a few minutes with a quick write up and photos and start fundraising! Nordiq Canada provides the fundraising website platform, processes the donations, and issues tax receipts to donors.

New Year, New Policies: Concussion and Travel and Expense
Nordiq Canada has added a National Concussion Policy and Protocol to its SafeSport policy suite. The policy encourages Divisions to adopt the same or a similar policy and requires Divisions to comply with any provincial or territorial legislation. The protocol includes tools for every stage of concussion training and management, including an education quick sheet. We hope you will find these tools useful.
Nordiq Canada has updated its Travel and Expense Policy, effective January 1. If you travel or incur expenses on behalf of Nordiq Canada, the new policy applies to you. Look for new per diem and mileage rates, detail on required vehicle insurance and limits on liability, and reimbursement for private non-commercial accommodations.
Ski To School Scholarship Winner
Congratulations to Bronwyn Williams (Carlton University Ski Team, Nakkertok Nordic) who was selected as this year’s Ski to School Scholarship winner. Bronwyn has demonstrated excellence in both academics and cross-country skiing as she studies Psychology at the University of Carlton.
The scholarship has been funded by university alumni skiers to encourage students who combine excellence in both academics and cross-country skiing as they proceed with their post-secondary education.
