Background

National Ski Team Background:

Elizabeth is currently in her second year on the Junior National Team which she credits to helping her development through attending international training camps like the Junior International Camp she has been invited to in Norway in addition to several camps across Canada.

Introduction to Cross-Country Skiing:

Elizabeth got involved in cross-country skiing when she was five years old when her parents registered her for a Jackrabbit program.  For Elizabeth and her family, skiing has always been about community and friendships – the competitiveness she gained around racing evolved much later.

Elizabeth hopes to one day compete for Canada on the World Cup, and ultimately, at the Olympic Winter Games.

Personal:

Outside of cross-country skiing, Elizabeth enjoys trail running, lifeguarding and teaching swimming lessons in the summer.

She is currently a full-time student at the University of Calgary where she is working towards a degree in Biological Science. Her goal is to go to medical school and study to become a doctor.
